STCW Designated Security Duties
Seafarers who are not appointed as Ship Security Officers, but are charged with security tasks according to the ship security plan must have a Designated Security Duties certificate.
1 and 1/2 day
During the course delegates will gain and demonstrate to a level of competence to undertake the duties and responsibilities for personnel with designated security duties. The delegate will acquire knowledge on carrying out security assessment, security equipment, security systems, reporting, documentation and records. Delegates will also acquire knowledge of coordinating execution of a ship security plan with the ship security officer.

Certificate of completion
Upon successful completion and assessment a certificate of proficiency may be issued in accordance with the regulations VI/6, Section A-VI/6, Table A-VI/6 STCW approved by Maritime Administrator Commonwealth of Dominica, USA with no expiry date.
Pre Course Requirement
All delegates must be in possession of a valid seafarer medical certificate issued by an approved medical practitioner.
